Frank Ocean Graces the Cover of GQ – The Color Brief January 11
Reclusive pop star Frank Ocean appears on the cover of the latest issue of GQ. The accompanying interview spans a wide range of topics, including his decision to make his Instagram account public, his 2018 midterms activism, and his move to New York City.
The expansive profile is uncharacteristic for Ocean, who tends to avoid the spotlight between projects.
His last full-length album was 2016’s Blonde, though he has logged several guest appearances and one-off singles since.
Ocean’s interview is part of the magazine’s annual music issue. This year’s edition also includes a profile of Dev Hynes, the multihyphenate talent behind Blood Orange.
The February issue of GQ hits newsstands later this month.

On Wednesday, the trailer was released for the forthcoming film, Little, starring Issa Rae, Marsai Martin, and Regina Hall. The film’s premise is a flip on the Tom Hanks classic Big. Here, Regina Hall’s character mysteriously wakes up as a child and is forced to navigate the adult world and her career as her much younger self. Little hits theaters April 12.
