I've been in denial that winter is approaching. The NYC temps have broken 40 degrees the last few days, and I've been living in leather, varsity jackets, and quilted vests; oblivious to the fact that I will actually need a coat soon. As much as I don't want to admit it, it's time to start adding in some warmer layers. This season, I've opted for some statement warmth pieces instead of the normal solid wool and lightweight wool sweaters. The lambswool sweater shown here is beyond warm, but despite its wool fabrication, it's extremely comfortable. It's also well tailored, making it perfect for a variety of looks. And let's not forget that bold graphic animal print. Yes, it's a large print, but because it's the focal point of your look, all other elements should be very simple. I've paired the sweater with a pair of joggers and suede desert boots. If you want to make a graphic statement, keep the rest of your look simple to balance it out. This winter, you can stay warm and still have some fun with bold choices.
