November has been a tricky month for dressing.  Temps have stayed well above normal, and at a time when we're normally transitioning into winter weather, it's felt more like spring.  So the challenge remains in how to dress appropriately for this unpredictable season.  In a single day, you have to beat the heat and battle the cold.

This look is all about layers that provide warmth but not too much.  The hooded mac is the perfect outerwear piece.  You can weather any unexpected downpours while adding an element of rugged style to your outfit.  The shawl collar sweater adds the depth to the look.  It's the true layer of warmth.  Try to find one that has a blend of cashmere or wool.  And if you can find one with both button and zip closure, it can work as a jacket on its own as things start to get toasty midday.  If you're on the run and want to keep things cozy yet casual, pair these pieces with a casual tee, slim cut joggers, and basic sneakers.  It's a complete look that keeps you in style while allowing you to function.

Just because Mother Nature isn't ready to transition doesn't mean your cozy cold weather wardrobe has to wait.  Adjust your layers to add depth and style to your looks.  Stay warm (or cool) and be prepared for the whatever the weather brings your way.
