Despite what you've read about Gap's fashion in the media as of late, there are some real treasures on the men's side of the house. I consider these Lived In cotton shorts to be one of those perfect finds. The length hits above the knee and toes the middle line for that guy who wants to be on trend but doesn't want to show thigh. The pre-faded color softens the hue so that it can match pretty much anything and survive several washes. And they're just damn comfortable. I brunch in these shorts. I watch TV in these shorts. I walk the length of Manhattan in these shorts. I truly live in them.
In this first look, I kept things dapper. A deconstructed cotton blazer takes things up a notch without getting too serious (notice the collar pop). I contrasted patterns with a plaid pocket square and a gingham woven shirt. I topped it all off with a pair of suede oxfords. The look is fun, contemporary dandy. From the new casual Friday to dinner in Central Park, these shorts are your secret weapon for summer.
