The highlight of my second day at NYFW: Men's was this contemporary SS16 collection from Anzevino Getty. It was the perfect blend of both the streetwear and dapper aesthetics. It was an offering in which formal wear coexisted with athletic gear. The strongest looks were those that put a fresh spin on more traditional fare: a jacquard two piece short suit and a bold black and white print suit. The more casual looks were a mash up of mild avant garde and functionality: a suede short jumpsuit, a yellow sweatsuit with diagonal zipper detail. One thing that was clear was a unique voice. Through the use of wild patterns and the embrace of more traditional haberdashery, this wasn't a collection that chased trend. This was a collection that sought out to show old dogs new tricks. The Anzevino Getty collection is for the man who's out to pave his own path next spring/summer and break away from the pack.
