No Sweat

Ah Fall! The crispness of the air is returning.  The night temps are dropping to the 50s and 60s.  It's finally time to start wearing sweatshirts and layering.  This is truly my favorite time of year for style because the possibilities are endless.

But sometimes the transitional weather periods can be tough.  You know the days-too chilly for just a tank and shorts but too warm to cover up from head to toe.  So what do you wear?  If you've been following Uptown Bourgeois for awhile, you know that I love a good statement sweatshirt.  When it starts to get a little chilly out, I toss one on with a pair of tailored shorts and sneakers.  The look is comfortable and simple, but the cut of all the pieces and the graphic statement are what turns this into a complete look.  It's sporty, active, and versatile as you run around town and fight both your to-do list and the fall chill.

Dressing for transitional weather can be confusing, but it doesn't have to mean the end of your style.  Take some small risks with your favorite pieces to usher in fall.  Sometimes a small statement is all you need.
